Bangladeshs man-made fiber clothing market will be larger than cotton in the next few years

Bangladeshs garment industry is the countrys main export industry and one of the worlds largest garment producers, however, a recent Research and Policy Integration to Promote Development (RAPID) report pointed out that in the coming years, the growth of the artificial fiber garment market will continue to be larger than the cotton market, which means Bangladeshs garment industry must adapt to this market change in 2021.
CMA CGM to adjust surcharges on routes from Asia to Northern Europe

Daimler recently announced that it will adjust additional charges on its Asia-Northern European routes, including overweight charges and additional charges on dangerous goods. $150 will be charged for goods shipped to Northern Europe, Scandinavia, Poland and the Baltic Sea from Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, China and Hong Kong and Macao, if the container’s total weight is equal to or greater than 20 tons of 20 foot dry containers.

Revisions to international standards for phytosanitary measures adopted

On March 28, 2023, the 17th session of the International Committee on Phytosanitary Measures (CPM) adopted an amendment to the existing international standards for phytosanitary measures. This amendment aims to strengthen the sanitary regulation of trade in plants and plant products in order to reduce the spread of pests and protect global plant health.
